Noah Webster's reading room located in Greenfield Village, Michigan - Noah was Born in 1758 and died in 1843 -Noah's resting place is located at Grove Street Cemetery in new Haven, Conn.
Noah Webster attended Yale university at age 16 and graduated in 1778 - He also earned a law degree in 1781 but never practiced, but went into teaching and set up schools but did not thrive. Noah Webster had a copyright law passed in 1790 of unauthorized printing of his books and dictionaries.
At age 43 Noah Webster began writing An American Dictionary which took him 27 years to complete.
This is Noah Websters Reading Room, back in those days they did not have electricity and used a fire place and candles and oil lamps for light at night, in those days paint was very expensive and only the wealthy could afford paint and the rooms would be painted in bold dark colors to help reflect sunlight in the home.
