Edsel & Eleanor Ford Mansion, located in Grosse Pointe Farms, north of Detroit, Michigan. The Ford's Hired Albert Kahn and traveled to England for idea's and choose the architecture style of the Cotswolds with sandstone as the Exterior of mansion, the interior fittings were hired to Charles Roberson which installed old European paneling and fittings from old castles and mansion around Europe and Stained glass windows with medallions dating back to fourteenth century throughout the mansion.
Edsel Ford was the only Child of Henry Ford, the Automaker who founded Ford Motor Company in 1903 which became one of the largest and most profitable companies in the world and one of the few to survive the Great Depression.
Edsel Ford (1893-1943) married the Daughter of J.L Hudson, Eleanor L. Clay (1896-1976) and were married in 1916. Together they had four children; Henry Ford II (1917-1987) Benson Ford (1919-1978) Josephine Clay Ford (1923-2005) and William Clay Ford (1925-2014)...
