Description
Au Sable Point Lighthouse is an active lighthouse in the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore near Margais, Michigan on the coastline of Lake Superior in the Upper Peninsula.
The Lighthouse was built in 1874, and Lighthouse is built in Brick and the tower is a Frustum of a Cone with White with Black lantern, and stands 107 ft tall, with a Third Order Fresnel Lens as the Original and automated in 1958 with a 12-inch 300mm Acrylic with a 11 nautical mile range with a Flashing White every 6 s. it is a 2 mile hike in to Lighthouse and a 2 mile hike out, so bring your Hiking Boots.
