Woodmere Cemetery Located near Detroit Michigan is the Oldest Cemetery in Michigan, dating back to the 1800's to present, Elks Rest Tomb Statue is made of Bronze and the oldest section of the Graveyard, Elks Rest is the oldest section of Woodmere Cemetery with many of the cities poor buried here, but once Elk's Rest section was filled Woodmere Cancelled the contract with City of Detroit to bury the city's poor people - this vast large cemetery is filled with historic tombstones and monuments on Hills upon hills of holy ground
